Crew2Sea was not invented in a boardroom. It started with an operator who kept losing days to a process that should take hours, and decided the sector deserved better.
The story
Sailed the ships, made the calls, felt the waste
Crew2Sea's founder spent years at sea, from shallow-water anchor handling on the Westerschelde to running vessel operations across continents, and then years more on the operator side, responsible for keeping a fleet sailing. Finding crew meant calling three agencies, waiting for bulk CVs, and discovering too late that the best candidate was never actually available.
The idea was validated the old-fashioned way: structured interviews with operators and crewing agencies across the sector, from global survey companies to family-run coaster operators. The same pains came back every time. Repeat crew is gold but hard to book again. Certificate handling is manual everywhere. And agencies spend more than half their working time on filling vacancies instead of on their people.

Crew2Sea is an intermediary platform. The agency remains the formal employer of the seafarer, and platform use never releases an operator from its own duty of care.
