Crew2Sea
About Crew2Sea

A maritime crewing platform built around the way operators and agencies actually work.

Crew2Sea connects vessel operators and crewing agencies through one shared workflow for vacancy publishing, candidate submissions, seafarer documents, availability checks and placement decisions. The FAQ answers common evaluation questions.

The Crew2Sea story

Started from the daily friction behind urgent crew changes

Crew2Sea was shaped by conversations with vessel operators, fleet teams, crewing managers and manning agencies who described the same problem from different sides: crew hiring still depends on scattered email, WhatsApp threads, spreadsheets and retyped documents.

Operators need better submissions, clearer document status and faster decisions. Agencies need live requirements, visible status and a structured way to prove that a seafarer is available, qualified and ready for the exact vacancy.

Crew2Sea is built around that shared workflow, not around a generic CRM or job board model. The product starts with the facts maritime teams already check: rank, vessel type, availability, passport, medical, seaman book, visas, licences, certificates, approvals, experience and contract dates.

Crew2Sea's mission is to make maritime crew matching more structured, document-aware and transparent for both sides of the placement.

Structured before shared

A vacancy should carry the same requirement set to every agency, so the first submission starts from the right brief.

Document-aware by design

Matching has to consider certificates, licences, medical status, seaman books, visas and contract-end dates, not only rank.

One decision trail

Questions, document requests, status changes and placement decisions should stay attached to the submission.

Built for both sides

Operators and agencies need different views, but they need to work from the same facts.

Connected maritime workflow

Built for crewing work that crosses ports, flags and agency networks

Crew2Sea is designed around the way maritime hiring actually moves: operators, agencies, documents, messages and placement decisions crossing regions while staying tied to the same structured vacancy.

Industry experience

Maritime operations and technology

Crew2Sea is founded by professionals with decades of combined experience in software, maritime automation and vessel operations. The team brings together the perspective of a seafarer and captain, a vessel operator, and a technology leader who has spent years building and improving complex operational systems.

First-hand insight

The workflow behind the problem

The platform is shaped by direct experience and conversations with vessel operators and crewing agencies. The same issues appear repeatedly: fragmented communication, unsuitable CVs, uncertain availability, document risk and little visibility after a candidate is submitted.

Purpose-built product

Designed around real crewing decisions

Crew2Sea brings vacancy publishing, controlled agency release, candidate matching, document requests, submission status and placement history into one structured workflow. Each part of the platform reflects how crewing work actually moves between operators and agencies.

Today

Building with the industry

The core platform is being developed and refined with input from maritime professionals. Crew2Sea is working with operators and agencies that want to replace disconnected email, WhatsApp and spreadsheet processes with a clearer, shared way of working.

How Crew2Sea is introduced

From kickoff to ongoing coverage

The platform is built around the real operational path from an open position to a confirmed placement, so operators and agencies can move faster without losing document context or decision history.

How We Deliver

From first workflow review to ongoing crew coverage

1

Map the current crewing flow

The process starts with how vacancies, agency requests, seafarer documents, submissions and placement decisions move today.

2

Model the data that matters

Ranks, vessel types, contract dates, licences, visas, medicals, seaman books, languages and approvals are structured so they can be checked consistently.

3

Connect operators and agencies

The workflow gives each side the view it needs while keeping vacancy context, submission status and document requests aligned.

4

Improve the placement loop

As decisions move through the platform, Crew2Sea keeps the history, messages and document context attached to each placement.

Why Clients Stay

Why maritime teams stay with a shared workflow

In crewing, trust comes from clarity: the same vacancy brief, the same submission status, the same document context and a decision trail both sides can follow.

One

workspace for operators and agencies

Every

submission tied to vacancy context

The vacancy brief stops drifting

Rank, vessel type, dates, required documents and approvals stay structured instead of being reinterpreted across email chains.

Agencies know what is worth submitting

Candidate fit, availability and missing data are visible before hours are spent preparing a submission.

Document risk is visible earlier

Certificates, medicals, passports, visas and seaman books are checked as part of the workflow, not after the shortlist is already late.

Decisions keep their context

Clarification, document requests, internal notes and status changes remain connected to the candidate and vacancy.
